In the world of
hip hop today, women are making more of an impact musically.
With the recent success of Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, and Eve, women
are becoming more accepted by the hip hop community. As hip
hop moves forward, Chantel Cameron a.k.a. Hershe' plans to be
the next female to reach super stardom.
Born May 1981, Chantel at the age of 14 realized her interest
in hip hop music. "When I was younger, I would always learn
the newest songs. After a while I decided to try and write my
own songs. Ever since then, I never stopped ." As the years
passed Chantel became more serious with the hip hop.
Showcasing her talents locally from small clubs to battles in
the projects, Chantel began to make a name for herself. After
winning a Hot 97 Morning Show Freestyle Contest, Chantel
believed it was time for her to start recording in the studio.
Now armed with up and coming producers DaHeadBangaz, Hershe'
plans to take the hip hop world by storm!
