    "This Ain't A Movie"

It is safe to say that HipHop is responsible for today's most talented music artists. But it can be a very long road for some unsigned hiphop artists to become noticed by Major labels. "Its all about timing...You dont grind You Dont Shine" quotes focused rapper Carlito (an unsigned hiphop artist.)

Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, a city with a massive hiphop scene, Carlito grew up listening while being influenced by rappers like Rakim,Kool G Rap, LL Cool J, Special Ed,Lord Finnese, Run Dmc and many other rap greats. At the age of 10, Carlito (known as "ill-cee" at the time) found himself creatin his own lyrics and songs and comparing them to his favorite rappers. This is when Carlito found the love of writing his own music.
Living in a city where the street life is a major influence, Carlito (at age 12) found himself selling drugs with his older brother to make ends meet. After witnessing his closest friends locked up and facing 25 to life sentences, Carlito decided to focus more on his music as an escape from the streetlife.

In high school, Carlito continued writing his music while displaying his talent in local freestyle sessions and talent shows.Carlito soon joined infamous rap groups such as "Individualz" and later on joined Paterson's well known hiphop/reggeaton group "Bien Flow". Due to unfocused group members, Carlito finnaly decided to try things out as a solo artist. "Know one will ever want this dream as Bad as you do" quotes Carlito. This is when everything changed.Carlito started gaining a huge buzz along with a strong street credibility around his city by battling local mc's and performing all over northen new jersey.

After winning 1st place in the rap catergory at Newark Syphony Hall and Parker Music's Talent Night Showcase which was hosted and judged by Sony Music's own Ron Grant, Carlito knew he had what it took to become a big figure in the music industry.

ALready appearing in numerous amount of mixtapes from well known mixtape DJ's, Carlito has beening gaining fans from everywhere. Independently, Carlito has released a 23 track mixtape Called "This aint a movie vol.1" which is hosted by (the wax burner) DJ 007 who'm was nomited to be 2005's "Best New Mixtape DJ" at Justo's mixtape awards (R.I.P. DJ Justo). This Cd (This Aint A Movie vol.1) includes the classic freestyle track "This Aint A Movie" which contains a sample line from hiphop legend Jay-Z which helped Carlito gain a massive buzz around the tri-state area. This is where carlito gained his aka name "this aint a movie".This aint a movie vol.1 contains various hood classic's such as "Strickly Clubbin",Ride and Die Wit Me ",and the reggaeton smash hit "Mamacita" along with many others. This aint a movie vol.1 is being sold independently and is already developing major sales in the streets and online.
Carlito is Considered by many to be a very versatile and talented artist due to the way he makes various styles of hiphop music ranging from club anthems, hood anthems, songs dealing with life issues, storytelling songs or even hiphop/reggaeton songs.

Currently, Carlito is working on a new 4 track EP which will be heavilly promoted in the streets and online. This project will be followed by Carlito's highly anticipated cd "This Aint A Movie vol.2 which will both be avialable sometime in the in mid 2006.

With all that said, you can assure yourself that Carlito will play a key role in providing great music for the streets and the hiphop community while holding a tight grip on the music industry. Its only a matter of time.
