Verbal
Science, aka VS, credits a diverse group of hip-hop legends
for the inspiration that led him to begin rapping: Tupac
Shakur, Notorious B.I.G, Busta Rhymes, Big L, The Lost Boyz, A
Tribe Called Quest, Naughty by Nature, Canibus, Chino XL,
Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Nas, and Eminem, just to name a few.
His debut album, In Da Lab, delivers 14 lyrically sound,
heart-pounding tracks that represent a new generation of
hip-hop.
Verbal Science speaks to us about his life experiences through
his tasteful vocabulary, unique writing, and stylistic flare.
By customizing a unique multi-syllable rhyme scheme, his
messages are received and understood by audiences of all ages
and backgrounds.
This album represents the positive image that Verbal Science
embodies. DJ Short-E, of Hot4Eva Records, produced this
revolutionary album which offers a fresh alternative to
today’s hip-hop sound.
Verbal Science has appeared twice in XXL Magazine and has
performed at various nightclubs, including: Floyd’s, Hard
Rock, Sky, Malio’s Lounge, and Studio Inc. Most recently he
starred in his first music video Whatchu Ridin On,
featuring appearances from Paul Wall, Tony Yayo, Mike Jones
and others. Furthermore, VS has won local rap competitions
sponsored by the top rated radio stations in Tampa Bay, 95.7
“The Beat” and “Wild” 98.7.
Verbal Science was born in Brooklyn, and grew up in
Middletown, New York. He then moved to Tampa, Florida in 2004
to produce In Da Lab with Hot4Eva Records. He has remained in
the Tampa area and works as a Recreational
Coordinator/Advocate for children with disabilities, while
also pursuing his passion for writing and rapping at night. |
